The erosion of shared traditions and conventions—once central to deliberation and the contextual ethics suited to a co-evolving, plural world—has left a vacuum. In the absence of meaningful alternatives, the practice of communicative action has been handed over to law, transforming deliberation into a procedural or juridical exercise rather than a space for collective meaning-making.
