"I can see now how, when that pressure is intense, you can convince yourself of anything simply to survive. I have come to believe that, more than they fear death, people fear not belonging. I think there are more people that would step in front of a train to save a child than there are people that would be willing to leave or question their group and risk being an outlier''.
